Get the Girlies Moving!

Life Happens… (how can you make fitness fit in it)

Episode Summary

Maybe work is insane. Maybe you just had a baby. Maybe you’re grieving, struggling with your mental health, taking care of someone you love, or simply have way too many pans on the stove right now. That doesn’t mean you failed. In this episode of Get the Girlies Moving, we’re talking about what fitness looks like when life doesn’t look the way you planned—and how to keep taking care of yourself without making your workout routine one more thing draining you.

Episode Notes

In today’s episode, we’re talking about:

• Going back to your “why” when your normal routine falls apart

• Letting your short-term goals change when your season of life changes

• Being realistic about the time, energy, and mental capacity you actually have

• Why starting smaller than you think you need to can help you build something sustainable

• Finding movement that actually supports what you need physically AND emotionally right now

Fitness is supposed to serve you. Your life is not supposed to revolve around your fitness routine.

Sometimes taking care of yourself looks like lifting heavy, running miles, and crushing your workouts.

Sometimes it looks like a 20-minute YouTube workout, a crash-out walk, stretching on your living room floor, or simply making space to start again.

Your life is going to change. Your schedule is going to change. And what you’re capable of giving is going to change too.

The goal isn’t to somehow keep doing the exact same thing through every season. It’s learning how to keep showing up for yourself in whatever season you’re actually in.

And if life is lifing a little extra hard right now, we’re right there with you.

Give yourself some grace, grab your pink, and get moving.
